How to use Doodle Connect?

1. You will need

All you need is a paper or something to draw on + a pen, pencil or anything you’d like to draw with.

2.Think of a word

It could be a name, a feeling, a place, a deeply meaningful or a seemingly random word.

3.Find each letter of your word in the doodle cards deck

Go through the alphabet doodle cards and pick each letter that makes up the word you chose. They are the doodles you will use.

4. Doodle away!

Start marking the paper with your doodles. Use a pen, different colours, paint, etc...

5. Reflect and connect

When you feel you are done, step back and observe the way you marked the paper.

- Have you filled the whole page?
- How small are the patterns?
- How are you feeling now?
- Can you get someone to try to decode the word by looking at the patterns you used?

Share your creations

  • Draw

    Draw and colour your doodle connect creation.

    If you want, add your starting word to the page before taking a photo.

  • Take a picture

    You can scan your coloured artwork or take a photo.

    Tips: Place your drawing near a window during the day for best results. Try to make sure there is no shadows on the drawing.

    We have found the free app Evernote Scannable creates really high quality images.

  • Send

    Upload your drawing and that’s it!

Through years of working with adults and children with this deck of cards, we have noticed time and time again how beautifully they can help unlock something for everyone.

Therefore it was important for us to make these
techniques available to all.
